Title : WINDSWEPT # 3 - Forces of Nature series. Size: 24"H x 45"W Medium: Wax Dye-resist (Batik) & white opaque wood stain on Wood. This painting is an abstract interpretation of the wind, water and foliage entangled in a dance of the everflowing energies and movements found in nature. Technically I have purposely incorporate white wood stain color for the background in order to show the viewer a visual experience between the opaque (wood stain) and transparent (dyes) elements. The result thus also creates a visual stimulation effect of what is permanent (the stained background) and what seems to be alive and moving thru the transparencies of the batiked image abstraction.
