The Tortoise

Malachite, Jasper, Quartz, Amber, Aventurine, Black Coral, Green Agate Slab, Rutilated Quartz

A large, green, glowing turtle mask with two heads. The small head is a clear, rounded quartz chunk with rutiliated crystals inside. The eyes are green aventurine, the nose is black coral, and the mouth is made from amber. The large head is a big, green, glowing agate slab with a floating face. When I wrapped the eyes and nose, I extended all three sections above the agate slab about a centimeter, which may not seem significant until the viewer flips the piece and sees a hidden, floating third face comprised of yellow amber. The last touch used quartz crystals for the arms, legs and tail, which helps create the illusion of a crawling turtle.
