Hand Crafted from Abalone, Black and White Coral, Garnet, and Turquoise with Yellow Calcite Crystal

A purple, bird-like fluorite based mask is quite different than my other fluorite works in that the abalone eyes are completely off the mask, giving the piece more dimensions. I have added black coral eyelashes, which move independently around the sterling silver eye sockets. The nose is a yellow translucent calcite crystal. The coral beak comes from Hawaii’s Waikiki south shore and includes a piece of red garnet in its mouth. This bird is more humorous when viewed next to the actual cereal box.
