Time Arrangement I measures 30 x 40 inches, and is painted with water based paint on plaster over canvas. The concept behind this painting is the process of achieving an end, or solving a problem, step by step. The elements on the tabletop represent disparate things which must go together to produce a result. There are thick leather gloves and shears for collecting the roses, the vase, water in a pitcher - all resting on a linen napkin. A small dish on the side holds a ring. The background material combines the colors of the other objects, pale blues and apricot.
