Hooker at low tide, Kinvara

Kinvara is a fishing village in south Co. Galway, Ireland. It's very picturesque at all times of the year, but in June it is full of happy tourists enjoying the colourful pubs and cafés. Two swans slept with their heads tucked into their wings, but as soon as they stirred into life and took to the water with their three babies, I quickly drew them. The boat, a hooker, is typical of the local fishing boats. Pen and ink and watercolour.
