While you haven’t posted work in quite some time, this piece came up in a random selection of thumbnail images on the site, and I was drawn in for a closer look.  The title Wild Abandon suits the gesture of the outstretched figure, but the cool, low chroma color palette quiets the volume of the expression. I enjoy the warm highlights that seem to occasionally break through the blue surface, and the way they are echoed in the woman’s hair.  They is also an openness to the background space that buoys the subject, and adds levity to the mood. The painting appears even more restrained when compared with the active, brushy marks throughout your figural and horse paintings.  I do hope you share more of them to the site.
