I am a paper mache/papermaking artist. While I enjoy making museum and store displays, I really get a thrill working with new paper techniques and illusions. Whether it's a stone carving, an iron beam, or even a fruitcake, I can make you believe it's real. Everyone wants to touch my work, and that's great.

My current work with plant fibers has brought me to Guanajuato, Mexico, where I am working with Lirio, or water hyacinth. This invasive water plant is a problem the world over, and I believe that it can be a replacement for indigineous amate paper, which is made from unsustainable resources.
