P J Lenorovitz
PJ was born in Kansas in, 1953, and began drawing the family pets and family members at an early age. When her family move to the Colorado mountains in 1963, her artistic palette expanded to include the beautiful scenery, the exquisite wildflowers and the diverse wildlife found in the Colorado outdoors.
PJ’s passion centers around people and the animal world, including dogs, bear, deer, tufted squirrels, raccoons, skunks, birds, wolves...even rattle snakes.
PJ has a BFA in Painting from Loretto Heights College in Denver, Colorado. She has worked with pencil, conte, charcoal, pen and ink, oil pastel, oil paints, and acrylics. In three dimensional mediums she has done weaving, fabric sculpture, stained glass, jewelry and assorted mixed medium.
At the beginning of 2004, PJ added glass carving and etching to her mediums. She has been alternating between painting and glass etching since then. Producing portraits in glass as well as colored pencil, oil and acrylic.
PJ’s life of art has been a joy and a challenge, and her husband has been a great source of strength during much of this journey....sometimes working with her to provide distinctive ways to display her artwork.
PJ currently resides in Littleton, Colorado with her husband Rob, reservation dog-Dax, and Bahamian Potcake-Reba.
