Peggy Thomas Cacalano's Gallery

I have been painting full-time 40 years and toured fine art juried shows throughout the US. When I was growing up my Dad made a special effort every week to see that my Brother and I experienced at least one cultural event, which greatly influenced me. To honor my Father I use my maiden name, Thomas, for my studio name and my paintings.

My paintings are rendered with a detailed pencil drawing, then numerous transparent layers of acrylic paint. There are at least 20 layers of paint in any area. I primarily use
the white of the canvas, rarely adding white to the paint.
The delicate style of my work is unique.
