Painting comes from within

Greetings to all........ Otis, Oregon is my home. I've been painting since 1981 and found that teaching art was my true passion. When we share our talents with others, we find friends that last long after the brush is laid down. It's been a wonderful journey for me. Most of my classes now are private but over the last 25 years, I have worked with 2 community colleges teaching oil painting and perspective drawing.

The inspiration for the figures comes from an imagined nature. I was born and raised in an urban environment so; my access to nature and knowledge about nature was, for about half of my life, imagined. I didn't know animals existed that were wild when I was a child, maybe that has something to do with it. Either way, the watercolors are just fun things I do to experiment with color, form, shape and content, other than that, I form ideas about the bigger works through the watercolors also.
