Leon Sarantos's Gallery

Leon Sarantos graduated from the College of Arts and Architecture at the University of Michigan.  He lives in Chicago and has studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Hyde Park Art Center.  Over the years, he has explored several artistic styles including representational and abstract, and subjects including still lifes, figurative, landscape and cityscape paintings. He has recently expanded his art to include cityscape photographs of people and places in Chicago. His art has been exhibited in many solo and group exhibits in the Midwest, and in international exhibits online.  He has won several awards and recognitions.  His cityscape painting received first prize at the South Side Impressions at the Beverly Art Center in Chicago.  His abstract, still life painting won the Best of Show award at the CornerStone Art Center and Gallery in Indiana.  He was a recent Artslant Showcase Winner for his abstract painting, Mexican Roadtrip.  He has also received Honorable Mention and Special Recognition awards for his art in international exhibitions on the Online Gallery - Light, Space & Time.  To see more of his artwork and news about his exhibits and honors, you are welcome to visit his website at:
