CAFA 103rd Annual Exhibition

National Deadline: April 4, 2014 - The Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts announces it's 103rd Annual Juried Exhibition, to be on display June 16 through July 26, 2014 at the Mystic Art Center.

ELIGIBILITY
Open to all artists and all fine arts media: painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics (traditional and digital), mixed media and collage.

AWARDS
Significant monetary awards.

ENTRY: Two ways to enter:
Apply online or carry in entries. The deadline to submit online is April 4, to submit by hand delivery, June 8 & 9.

SALES
CAFA will be actively promoting works for sale - a commission of 40% will be retained on all sales.

DATES

• Online Entry Deadline April 4th, 2014. Carry-in Dropoff Sunday June 8th, & Monday June 9th, 11AM - 5PM at the Mystic Arts Center
• Notification of acceptance will be posted online. For on-line entry by May 2, and Carry-In Entry by June 11.
• Pick-up for work not accepted: Friday, June 13 & Saturday, June 14, 11AM–5PM at the Mystic Arts Center.
• Pick-up for work accepted: Sunday, July27 & Monday, July 28, 11AM–5PM at the Mystic Arts Center.
• Opening Reception & Awards: Thursday, June 26, from 6 to 8 PM.
  
  

About Venue - The Mystic Arts Center
The Mystic Arts Center is vibrant arts hub dedicated to supporting culture and creativity within the communities of Southeastern Connecticut and Southern Rhode Island, as well as visitors and tourists from the region and beyond. It consists of four galleries, provides studio art classes, grant-funded outreach programs and other cultural programming. The Center also maintains a permanent collection of work. Founded in 1910 the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts was established by a group of renowned Connecticut Artists who enjoyed a National reputation. Their goal was to promote the art of area members. They achieved this through the Annual Salon show, a juried exhibition which held to high standards of artistic ability. Today, the annual Salon Show is open to all artists nationwide and is a mark of achievement to those who are chosen.
