2014 Westmoreland Art Nationals Call for Entries

International Deadline: March 15, 2014 - The acclaimed Westmoreland Art Nationals Exhibitions are open to all artists worldwide 18 years old or older. Accepting two-dimensional art, three-dimensional art and photography for two separate juried exhibitions.

Since 1978, the Westmoreland Art Nationals has attracted the best local, regional, national and international artists. The show's popularity lies in the unique opportunity for artist to enter two juried shows by paying only one $35 fee. Not only are an artist's chances of acceptance increased with the possibility of one or more pieces being chosen for each show, there is a total of $5,700 in prize money to be awarded.

Accepted works receive a healthy amount of exposure to thousands of exhibition patrons and to the general public through mentions in exhibition programs, the Westmoreland Arts & Heritage Festival website, social media and Festival press releases. The Westmoreland Art Nationals is presented by the Westmoreland Arts & Heritage Festival in partnership with Westmoreland County Community College.

• The first exhibit takes place at Westmoreland County Community College in Youngwood, PA. The opening is May 31, 2014 and the exhbition runs through June 11, 2014.
• The second exhibit will be held during the Westmoreland Arts & Heritage Festival at Twin Lakes Park, Greensburg, PA from July 3 through July 6, 2014. The exhibit is housed in a secure gallery within the park and can be viewed by over 150,000 visitors who attend the Festival each year.

JURIED EXHIBITION GUIDELINES
Only digital images will be accepted for the jurying process.

JURY FEE
The non-refundable jury fee of $35 entitles an artist to enter 1 to 4 pieces in any media and will be considered for both exhibitions.

APPLICATION
All artwork must be submitted digitally on a CD or DVD for the jurying process.

NOTIFICATION
Artists will be notified of their acceptance for one or both shows by April 15, 2014.

SALES
All works submitted must have the sale price printed on the application. A 35% commission will be retained if the artwork is sold. If not for sale, mark N.F.S. on application.
