Black Earth Gallery Exhibition: My Landscape

National Deadline: July 1, 2014 - Black Earth Gallery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa announces a call for entries for the group exhibition 'My Landscape'. Black Earth Gallery is located in the heart of the Midwest where landscapes abound. It becomes part of your soul. What is your landscape? Landscapes of the heart? Landscapes of the mind? Landscapes of the earth, city or sky? Although this show is inspired by our location, the theme is open for interpretation.

This exhibition is scheduled for September 4 - September 26, 2014. Eligible artists must be 18+ years of age and ship work from within the United States. A variety of media is encouraged and all 2D and 3D work will be considered. Work for the exhibition will be selected by Black Earth Gallery founder Anne Stamats.

Deadline to submit work is July 1, 2014 (read details below).

• Submission fee is $25 for 3 images. Additional images may be submitted for $10/image.
• Submit online. Once paid, submission fees are non-refundable whether or not work is selected for exhibition. Submission indicates artist agrees with the terms set forth here.
• Artists will be notified on or before July 8, 2014.
• Artwork for “My Landscape” must be received between August 25 and August 29, 2014. Late shipments may not be guaranteed a spot in the show.
• Art work, if not sold, will be returned after the close of the show.

For the best results for uploading images for jurying, please submit your images as JPG, TIF, or PNG files not greater than 2MB. The longest side should be a minimum of 1,280 pixels. Artists are responsible for all shipping/delivery costs before and at the conclusion of each exhibition. Shipped work must include pre-paid, return postage which includes pickup at the gallery for unsold work.

Black Earth Gallery does not provide insurance coverage for work exhibited. Work is shown at the artist's own risk. Artists may choose to insure work if they wish.

Artists keep 100°/o of sales. Artists have a chance to establish ongoing relationships with their buyers because buyers purchase directly from the artists. Artists set their own prices and handle their own transactions by accepting their preferred method(s) of payment. Artists deliver or ship their sold work to buyers where necessary (however, buyers usually pick up at the gallery after artists receive payment). Artists may submit work For Sale or Not For Sale.
