International Deadline: March 19, 2014 - The Naples Art Association at The von Liebig Art Center in Naples, Florida invites all artists to enter original 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional art for The 50th Founders Juried Awards Exhibition. One or two works per artist may be entered. The fine art exhibition will be installed throughout The von Liebig Art Center from June 9 - July 25, 2014.
Erin Wright, Director of Artist Initiatives and Special Projects at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). Her current focus at LACMA is on artist projects and producing films about artists and their work. She has recently worked with artists John Baldessari, Michael Heizer, Ed Ruscha, James Turrell and Peter Zumthor, and collaborated with filmmakers such as Lance Accord, Doug Pray and Lucy Walker as producer for LACMA films. Wright's twenty years of experience in the art world ranges from Sotheby's auction house to grant making for the Lannan Foundation to writing and research as co-editor of the Edward Ruscha Catalogue Raisonn of Paintings to organizing exhibitions and project management for Gagosian Gallery.
$2,500 in cash awards will be presented to artists during the Preview Reception on Friday, June 8, 2014. Attendance during the reception is encouraged, but is not required. Award checks will be mailed to winning artists who are unable to attend.

The entry fee is $40 and Naples Art Association membership is required. New members are welcome at time of entry.

The Naples Art Association (NAA) was founded in 1954 as a not-for-profit visual arts organization. The mission of the Naples Art Association at The von Liebig Art Center is to promote and advance education, interest and participation in the contemporary visual arts.
The The von Liebig Art Center is a two-story, 16,000-sq. ft. center that features six studios, lobby gallery, a main exhibition gallery, four galleries-in-the-round, two collection storage vaults, library resource center, gift shop, administrative offices and a catering kitchen.
