Event Description

International Deadline: December 5, 2014 – The Annual Juried Art Exhibition was founded by the Monmouth County Arts Council in 1979 and for 35 years it has been held at the Monmouth Museum. In 2011 the Museum assumed complete sponsorship of this annual exhibition. We will continue to build on the excellent reputation of this long-established exhibition and champion its success for many years to come.

On display Main Gallery January 17 – March 8, 2015
Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony: Saturday, January 17th, 2015 4 – 6 pm

ELIGIBILITY
Open to all artists world-wide age 17 and over. All artwork entered must be the artist’s original creations completed within the last five years, and must not have been exhibited in past Monmouth Museum exhibitions.

AWARDS
The Monmouth Museum will present 4 monetary Juror Awards and 4 Honorable Mention Awards at the Opening Reception.

APPLY ONLINE
Artwork will be considered in all media through online submission of digital jpeg (300 dpi/ppi) images only, video/film is permitted through submission of a YouTube or Vimeo link. Submissions are limited to a maximum of FOUR pieces.

Acceptance into the exhibition is not guaranteed with entry. The Monmouth Museum reserves the right to reject work delivered at the time of the exhibition that is not the artist’s accepted work, or does not meet the criteria set by the curator.

ACCEPTANCE
Announcement of Accepted Artists on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 by 8:00 pm EST. A list of artists accepted into the exhibition will be posted on the Monmouth Museum website, Facebook and Twitter pages.

Selected artwork must be wired, framed (if media applicable) and ready to hang (no saw-tooth hangers). Painted, gallery-wrapped canvas is acceptable. Artworks must be no more than 7 feet in height or width with sculpture less than 10 feet in height or width and able to fit through a standard door. Pedestals must be provided by all NJ artists for all three-dimensional entries (when appropriate). If accepted, appropriate equipment for video/film submissions must be provided by artist. Entered and accepted work cannot be substituted. All work must be available for the duration of the exhibition.

SALE OF ARTWORK
The Monmouth Museum encourages the sale of exhibited artwork. The Monmouth Museum will collect the purchase price for all work, take a 20% sales commission and issue a check for the remainder to the artist at the close of the exhibition.

MEDIA/PUBLIC RELATIONS RELEASE
The Monmouth Museum reserves the right to use digital images of accepted and exhibited artwork for media and website PR and advertising.

SHIPPING
All work must be shipped via FedEx, UPS or USPS and arrive at the Museum by 8:00 pm Friday, January 9, 2015. All shipping costs and liability of artwork during shipment are the responsibility of the artist.
