Sequim Arts 38th Annual Juried Show

National Deadline: March 15, 2014 - Sequim Arts, located in Sequim, Washington, is seeking entries for its annual juried art exhibit which is open to all adult artists. The show will be hosted in the Bell Creek Plaza, 990 E. Washington, Sequim and will run from May 2 to May 11 2014 and is an official event of the 2014 Sequim Irrigation Festival.

All work must be original in interpretation and composition, not copied from copy-right or published art or executed in a supervised class and be for sale. Two-dimensional and three dimensional art such as, but not limited to oil, acrylic, water media, mixed media, original prints, collage, pastel, fine art photography, digital art, drawing, assemblage, sculpture (any medium), basketry, ceramics, glass, jewelry, and textiles.

AWARDS
Cash totaling over $1,500 will be awarded.

JUROR
This year's Juror will be Suzy Kueckelhan of Bainbridge Island. After receiving her art degree from the University of Washington, she taught art in the Seattle Public schools, and has continued to develop her career in fine art. Her work has moved from prints, to oils, water color, encaustics, acrylics and any other medium that catches her eye. For the last 25 years, she has focused on acrylic and paper collages. About 20 years ago, she was one of the founding members of the artist-owned, Net Contents Gallery. She is a Signature Member of both, the National Collage Society and the Northwest Water Color Society, President of the Northwest Collage Society, and a member of Woman Painters of Washington. Suzy's work can be found in both private and public collections throughout the Northwest, in the U.S. (including the Secretary of State building in Washington D.C.) and overseas in Kuwait, France and Japan.
