In the Flesh 5

International Deadline: December 1, 2014 – Highly regarded Target Gallery presents it’s biannual exhibition, 'n the Flesh'. This all-media exhibition examines contemporary work with the human figure as it’s subject. This call is open to national and international artists.

JUROR
Jeff Huntington received an MFA in 1997 from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BFA in 1995 from the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC. His work has been included in more than eighty exhibitions nationally and internationally over the past 25 years. His paintings are in private and public collections throughout the world, including The Rockford Art Museum in Rockford, Illinois and in U.S. embassies in the Philippines and Panama. Reviews of his work have been featured in numerous publications, including The Washington Post, The Washington Times, The New York Times, Juxtapos, The New Art Examiner, as well as a feature on CNBC. Some awards received include The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Fellowship (Canada), The Jacob Kainen Award for Excellence in Figurative Painting, a Maryland State Arts Council grant and The Ethel Lorraine Bernstein Memorial Award for Excellence in Painting. Huntington is currently an adjunct faculty member at the Corcoran in Washington, DC. His paintings are represented by Porter Contemporary in New York City, Reyes+Davis in Washington, DC, Gallery 1301 in Baltimore, MD, and The Annapolis Collection Gallery in Annapolis, MD.

LIMITATIONS
Work should be less than 15 feet overall (height + width + length), with no one dimension measuring more than 7 feet. Final measurements must be inclusive of frame, if applicable. Weight may not exceed 150 pounds. All entries must have been conceived and created by the artist submitting the work and must have been created within the last 5 years. All work selected must be ready for exhibit: 2D work must be framed with secure hanging devices; 3D work must be suitably prepared with instructions for installation. The gallery reserves the right to reject work that differs from submitted images.

• December 19, 2014: Artists’ notified: Please be patient with the gallery. We will notify you by email. Be sure to provide the gallery with an accurate email address.
• January 16 – Tuesday, Jan 20, 2015 Accepted work due in the gallery
• January 24 – March 1, 2015 Exhibition Dates
• Thursday, February 12, 2015 Artists’ Reception, 6-8pm
