Is it okay to submit Art to Multiple Galleries or Competitions simultaneously?

Hey Everyone,

Need your opinion.

Do you think it is okay to submit your artwork to different galleries or competitions at the same time or do you think it is wiser to do one at a time so that if you are accepted and/or win there are no problems?

Thanks,

Alison

Hi, Alison!
My personal opinion Art competition is best way! You'll have many profits.
First of all, competition good place to checking your level/skills
Second, you'll see your shortages
Third, you have chance make some money

Thanks Ivan, I've been thinking that too!
Hi Alison,

Absolutely! You should submit to as many opportunities that you think would be interested in your work. Presently I have to Galleries who represent me. The more you do, the greater your chance at success with at least one! Good luck!
Thanks Karleen, I think you've got the right idea!

You shouldn't enter the same piece in two competitions if there will be a potential time conflict. You're only wasting your entry application fee. Enter different artworks, simple!

With galleries, exhibitions are usually planned months, even up to two years in advance, so it's not a problem.

As far as galleries go submit to as many as you can, sometimes it takes them weeks to reply. Of course it can be helpful to have a large portfolio.
