This piece seems to have little in common with the other photographs you’ve posted, but I’m engaged by the color, shape, and relationship between the alternating areas of texture and light. The radiating brown warmth of the picture is a curious quality considering the industrial nature of the landscape. The artificial light casts a glow over the point or impact of actual construction, but flickers in other unexpected areas and creates alternate pools of visual interest. The curving line of small orange cones also leads my eye back into the piece, until they vanish into the deeper and darker space. I initially thought the piece was organized like a diptych, with unequal halves, as the sky seems intentionally cropped from the left half of the elongated picture plane. But there is a rather fluid connection between the two spaces, as the light poles and building structure arc over into the adjacent section, and create formal counterpoints to each other.
