Curator’s Comments:
This presumably digitally created piece designated V 5 came up randomly on the site today, and I was drawn in by its strong bilateral symmetry. I enjoy the finely sculpted edges of the rounded forms along the top and bottom of the image in contrast to the softer blended center. My immediate reaction was that the form was beetle-like, organic and compact, with oval exterior contours. It reads as object as much as design or composition. The color also references the jewel like hues found in insects, though of course the abstraction lends itself to other interpretations. The adjacent and related V6 also suggests a biological entity- even more strongly conjuring a specimen splayed out on a neutral ground.
From NY to the U.K., the most comprehensive and respected source for income & exhibition opportunities.
