Song of Birds seems to meld the potency of your waterfall drawings with the elegant nostalgia of UnMomentodeOro.  It took me a second to discern the two dancers after viewing the more realistic image, which merge into one shadowy figurative form in the top, and kick out in contrasted movement in the bottom section.  This abstraction –economically simplifying the silhouette in areas, and providing crisp edges in others, is a dance in and of itself.  I enjoy the sway and shift of the visual weight giving way to sweeping soft lines and edges.  Waterfall Rush is also exquisitely handled- the smoky mist of erased charcoal is masterful and captures the nuances of the raging water.  But despite all of its representational power it is in some ways more fixed and unvarying that the enraptured couple in Song of Birds.
