On the Cusp is an engaging piece- even more so when viewed in the context of your larger body of work.  I remember admiring some of these paintings earlier, and I now further appreciate the dexterity in which you move back and forth between biological and synthetic systems.  The illusion of this metallic architectural facade is quite stunning. The smoky greys and blacks beautifully sculpt a reflective surface, with subtle bends in light.  I enjoy the blue space in the upper right of the composition- leaving a window of sky breaking through the densely constructed girders and framework of the windows.  The darker shadows in the center of the image and cropping at the bottom hold my interest.  The shadows appear to be cast from another unknown/unseen structure, keeping the viewers’ footing floating above the ground.
