Yes, this piece is a hand clutching a piece of cloth blowing in the wind, that transitions to fire.

I was happy to see your new work arrive on the site! Afterburner is particularly appealing with its sinuous marble striations. The fluidity of the form evokes biologic entities as well as geomorphic forces. The horizontal orientation further supports the visual movement in the sculpture. I’m intrigued by the slightly more textural form on the extreme left of the piece. Is it a hand? The perspective in the photographic keeps the finger like projections a bit ambiguous. But either with this direct anatomical representation, or just a suggestion of an opposing pulling energy to create formal tension, the piece is really exquisite.
