Curator’s Comments:
This sculptural installation, Touch Me, remains popular with site members long after its original posting. There is a mystery to the smooth forms protruding from rough, which appear to have carved and polished sections within naturally shaped boulders. While media and scale aren’t indicated, the work shares some of the formal qualities of your other constructions I’ve enjoyed in the past. The repetition of the large “stones”, and elements within each reinforce the idea of a grouping of biological entities, or environmental forces that have acted upon them. The tear-dropped sculptural projections also recall other shell forms for me, as seen in your pieces drawing inspiration from various mollusks and Turritella spirals. The tactile quality of the sculptures is enhanced by the title, offering the viewer a broader sensory approach.
From NY to the U.K., the most comprehensive and respected source for income & exhibition opportunities.
