Thank you for sharing these new pieces! I’m enthralled with the muscular, organic modulations in these innovative forms. The visual tension appears ramped up compared to the stoneware pieces posted last year. Rather than exuding references to tectonic artifacts, I see these sculptural objects as living entities. Anime in particular deftly combines curvilinear areas with a bone-like protrusion. The elongated and articulated piece at the top conjures a sternum placed against sinuous viscera. The effect is shockingly beautiful. I also want to express admiration for the dramatic lighting of the sculptures. The background causes them to float in space, as if they are emerging from, rather than set up against, the blackness.
