The pictographically alluring painting Antlers: Journal Entry Series maintains a quality that is both universal and personal. The diaristic reference in the title reinforces the simplicity of the figures; they suggest a shorthand abstract language. I also enjoy the saturation of the red oil surface.  The purity of the primary chroma moves the work away from what might otherwise look Paleolithic-inspired, into a more contemporary realm. It also looks as though the finer white lines are inscribed into the painting surface, juxtaposing additive marks with delicate sgriffito. I recognize this piece was posted many years ago, and hope you will consider posting new work the next time you visit the site.
