Curator’s Comment:
You have a host of wonderfully fluid images on the site, and many have me wondering about the process and media. Some pictures seem to be manipulated with filters- either digital, or actual, as in paper or fabric collage. The fine web of contrasting color and marks blurs sections of the images, while leaving remaining crisp shapes and edges. I particularly like Bull 15 for this vacillation in surface and color- delicate webbing appears to emerge from more aggressive applications of blue and red pigmented wash. I also enjoy the crossing of the red, blue and green liquid lines, as they move throughout the picture plane, and break up larger areas of emphasis. Mums is also a deftly pleasurable piece, though much denser and more saturated in color and space. The thinner lines act more as textural interruption that filter or web, as they cross through the solid red-orange petals.
From NY to the U.K., the most comprehensive and respected source for income & exhibition opportunities.
