This image is an exquisite example of the seductive power of violence. The contrast between the hazy smoke and sharp precision of the glowing bullet is starling. The softly focused officer serves as an archetypal protagonist; though faceless and ubiquitous.  While the viewer becomes the target of his gun, it is a strangely welcome interaction.  Perhaps because of the yellow-orange central focal point, the piece is stabilizing and hypnotic.
