Curator’s Comments:

Revealing our True nature has a compelling space, and the viewer swims with the circular movement of the fish. As a framing device, the colorful fish both animate the space, and serve as precursors to the figurative grouping.  The human figures seem to mysteriously fall away from the central pool of illuminated blue light, taking on more representational characteristics and details as they move into the blackness of the background.  Conversely, if we reverse the movements, the humans lose individual identities as they are grouped closer to the central light.   I’m unclear about the biological certainty insinuated in the work’s title; are we creatures of earth, water or light?  However one interprets the piece, it does support a mystical, otherworldly type of visual dialogue.
