I like that there is a feeling of truth in the medium in this Untitled (Half Pixel) image.  It’s evident how the photograph has been digitally manipulated; it doesn’t try and duplicate another fine art medium or process.  Because of the clarity of the method, it speaks to the actual process of making the work.  While I don’t necessarily see the figure as an amalgamation of man and machine, it appears to reflect an alternate consciousness, or blurring of rational or scientific thinking. Since the multicolored distortion bands give the impression of transience rather than fixed changes to the black and white figure, it conjures thought rather than progressive design. Corporeal form gives way to mechanically or electronically alternated visions.  The solidity of flesh could also be in question, and possibly questioning the evolution of human energy through technological means.
