The painting Product of Our Dreams popped up again and I admit to liking it more and more with each pass by. I believe all of the paintings in your portfolio share a rich gestural sensibility, in the ilk of contemporary Neo- Expressionists.  That several works appear to represent sheer forces of nature bodes well with the titles allocated to them.  This particular piece doesn’t reveal an abundance of raw scumbled white in its final surface, but still submits an excavation of built up strata for consideration; pigment that has shifted and settled over time.  The larger proposition of visual weight at the top of the picture, through darker, denser pigment, allows for an indefinable sensation of floating. It’s a beautiful piece, bearing scars of the act of expressive work. While scale isn’t noted on this particular piece, I imagine it shares the decidedly human scale of many of the larger work which command and hold the viewers’ attention.
