Curator’s Comment:
A suggestive image, the expression is quite controlled, and even reserved. The progressive movement connecting and relating the three heads in the triptych creates interesting comparisons, as the animals strain against their respective corrals. The animal on the left pushes into our space. I'm uncertain if I'm looking at purebred horses versus a donkey (aka: ass), making reference to our educational system, or if the facial characteristics of the animals are just distinctive to them as individuals. Their spatial division of the triptych further denotes institutionalization, or the treating of sentient beings as commodity. But this may not be what you intended. While this is a painting and not a print, I also see the textural elements as chop marks- the red design in the third panel in particular looks like an official seal. That the text remains completely separate from the images enhances the success. This authoritative “voice” in the wording counters the more intuitive depiction of the horses, and suggests they are being sanctioned, or certified in some way.
Good horse's faces, every horse shows trusting you. When i was a child , my friend was bited his small shoulder. The race horse might be nervous.....dynamic contemporaly picture.I want introduce this one on my web site if you permitted.
