Inspired by Moors in early Medieval Venice, and their pharmacopeia of that period, which used medicinal roses from Constantinople as plague palliatives. Embedded within a copper gilded Moorish-style frame, 14”x16”. Indirect method, oil glazed mounted linen 9”x12” panel.
