Curator’s Comments:
I was delighted to discover your new works on the site this morning! Congratulations on what looks to have been a very productive and fruitful sabbatical. The installation shot that precedes the postings of the rest helps me appreciate the relative scale of the individual works, as well as contextualize their relationships to each other. I can’t however help feeling I’m missing out on the key component of surface presentation in these works. The dye transfer on aluminum Flux 21 shares a fair amount of compositional and color aesthetics as the others in the series, but I consider the inclusion of more white breaks to be a fresh visual rest within the saturated hues and movement throughout. The organic striations are beautifully woven between the vertical strips, offering a tenuous balance between harmony and disarray. Floating these wonderful objects for display must contribute to their ethereal presence.
From NY to the U.K., the most comprehensive and respected source for income & exhibition opportunities.
