Curator’s Comments:
Galaxy of Diamonds is an exceptional and unique work, presenting a dynamic spatial arrangement that bridges organic abstraction and representation. The graphic achromatic values are sensitively displayed, as my eye follows the tenuous lines of the thin webbing. While the medium isn’t noted, I appreciate the inky blackness of the background running all the way up to the deckled edge of the paper support. I have to strain to see if there is recognizable reflection in what appears to be a series of water droplets; the mystery is that the subject could be cosmic or totally commonplace in nature. The bold asymmetry of the design also holds my interest, as there may be a pattern in the compositional repetition. Without detecting one, there is still considerable harmony in the containment of the visual movement and totality of the spheres.
From NY to the U.K., the most comprehensive and respected source for income & exhibition opportunities.
