Indian Winter makes me want to make a collage!  There’s a superb dissonance created between the disparate elements, forming an entrancing interplay between the supernatural and corporeal world.  The very subtle shifts in color and value acutely heighten awareness, as the viewer struggles to understand the ungrounded figure’s relationship to his environment.  The primary winter scene, with the coach driver trapped in blowing snow seems still compared to the icy glare and linear movement within the floating figure.  The figures appear to be at an impasse, moving towards each other, but also figuratively frozen in space and time.
