the disturbing cruelty of decay

Though levian wraiths are immune to shaddow, decay is a weakness that can do horrible things. Normally decay never makes it out of the forest to the fields of the Agris Terra, but it can happen. Decay, when it consumes (takes over) a levian wraith, it rots its body and keeps it alive, as if to use it as a shell. The bright blue eye of decay ascends from this body and takes control , as tentacles within the bowels and throat of the consumed levian wraith attempt to destroy the field.
At this point, the levian wraith is beyond saving, and when the hope wraiths try to destroy the decay within it, they will destroy the levian wraith as well, preventing it from passing on in peace to be re-born... However, if the living entity of decay is separated from the body, the hope wraiths will avoid the levian wraith, allowing it to eventually be re-born as it would be naturally.
