It’s always a pleasure to view your new work- these recent pieces are among my favorites of all of the two-dimensional works you’ve posted on the site.  Thank you for inviting me to make comments.  The lighter color palette and restrained use of black and gray in Kinoptic # 7 offer a spirited momentum to the space, while softening the figure-ground relationship and linear contrast.  I believe I’d expressed my fondness for the softened geometric edges in related mixed media paintings.  The approach marries the best of structured compositions with the sensory body of organic forms.  The new adjacent piece, Kinoptic # 5, goes even further with the fleshy hues.  The window within the picture frame sets up an interesting dynamic between ordered and chaotic space, while the small dots on the ends of the blue planks suggest lumber, or building materials.  I find it interesting that your two-dimensional works exhibit these subtle architectural references.  It’s as if the format only allows a slight suspension of gravity, and the rules of order apply to even your fully invented spaces.
