This what I wrote for my proposal for the international competition - The Light Meridian
Morning sunbeams dance across the landscape in a straight line. In the afternoon they get to the depths of the valley, giving their full attention to what is happening on both shaded banks of the river.
The power of light symbolizes power, growth, health, passion and the cycle of life.
The positive and negative lines of Meridian Light emphasize the positive and negative shapes in nature, appearing and falling into the center of the Universe and its landscapes that surround us.
Thank you for you amazing comment
Curator’s Comments:
I’m very happy to see these new pieces on the site. I find Landscape of Light most intriguing in this ongoing series of mixed media works, as the compartmentation of organic structures suggests a barely detectable gestalt within the image. While in several other related pieces the inset of what appears to be a collaged section of a detail of the work is more discordant, there is a more subtle visual shift taking place here. While the cut-line is visible towards the top of the insert, the fluid red lines at the bottom reveals no disruption in value or trajectory. The striations within each segment suggests an altered landscape, or aerial view of a circulatory system. The adjacent piece Waiting, by contrast, offers what appears to be a magnification of texture and contrast inn the highlighted segment. While a continuation of the background/layered imagery, the rectangle causes the viewer to take pause and consider the attention to one area drawn from the whole. These are fascinating works, as the collaged device suggests a scientific or objective examination of an abstraction.
From NY to the U.K., the most comprehensive and respected source for income & exhibition opportunities.
