one thing  i did not mention is what is called painters trick. when you want a object to stand  out even stronger paint a black rim (100%) around a ball or shape that is 95% black it make the eye go back and forth between the two blacks and gives you a feeling of depth

Wow.  Thanks for sharing what you were doing here.  Very intricate and beautiful, with a great deal going on on many levels.  As an artist who does free-form work, I'm impressed by the mathematical preciseness here, as well.

Thanks for the comments. When I started I was focused on the Hindu concept  of Indra's net. As i searched Further it began remind me of David Bohm's writings "the wholeness of being" which returned me to the center of me and the universe. the white lines are based on the salient points of a child's face, again the full circle. the hypnotic rings are based on Dante;s seven levels of consciousness in the work Paradiso. i found that when i stare  at it long enough it alter my consciousness  thanks again for the review

Curator’s Comment:

Seven Layers of Consciousness takes the mandala pattern to an extremely intricate level. The acute contrast and modulations within the dark blue-black and the palest yellow tint create a pulsating and enticing rhythm in the space. The central eye being a strong focal point, its blurred edge expands and radiates into the circular design. The white webs of what appear to be atomic structures (Grotrian diagrams?) add dimensionality and evocation of metaphysical form.  There’s a lot here to capture and hold my attention, despite the strong radial symmetry.
