Media is watercolor. Love to play with color and bounce the color off of all the objects in this still life scene.

Curator’s Comments:
Living in Color surprises the viewer with animated line; and is a wonderfully dynamic still life. The compressed pictorial space and vertical orientation is also unexpected. I like the calligraphic blue line that forms the external contour of the small pitcher, and the manner in which it shifts in and out of the watercolor washes in the background, while the red flowers are conversely heavy and saturated. Their unusual textural manipulation is a bold visual assertion in the otherwise understated environment. I also admire the first painting by the same title, and its ambiguity of form and perspective. In this piece the seemingly random marks and drips create a web-like space, and more gestural sensibility. I realize these were posted some time ago, and hope you’ll consider updating the site.
