A contrast of black and white photography and whimsical acrylic animals.
A look at two different worlds and the nervous anxiety that surrounds this. The animals represent myself living in a world that doesn't seem to fit.

Lemur in the Lion’s Den is an apt metaphorical image for nervous anxiety! I like what you’re doing with this mixed media/photographic series. I especially appreciate the formal relationship between the animals in this piece. They nicely merge their spatial relationships and provide an ironic interaction of expressions.  The tail of the lemur curls up towards the lion’s paws for instance, while echoing the diagonal slant of his legs.  While the disparate nature of the format, color, values, etc. never intends to blend them pictorially on a conceptual or technical level, the compositional interactions are appreciated nonetheless.
