Curator's Comments:
Thank you for posting some new works to the site! Each of the five new pieces you shared today have remarkably different approaches and subjects. Theory, in particular, caught my attention with the bold graphic ink lines. I was surprised to see the drawing media was identified as Sharpie, as the linear measure varies a good deal within the design. The geometric patterns initially present as non-objective, but with longer viewing, a sun with boaters on the water start to come to focus, and then dissolves again into angled lines and small black squares. The large black “eye” in the center right of the composition carries strong visual weight, and serves as a formal counterbalance to the sun shape. The compartmentalization of the color in the work also helps to organize the busy high contrast space, while adding another layer of interest.
From NY to the U.K., the most comprehensive and respected source for income & exhibition opportunities.
