Curator’s Comments:  

 

Meet You on the Other Side is a poignant piece, simple and airy, but universal in its longing for re-connection.  The dots and dashes appear as dissolved form, or perhaps are constructed from individual finger prints.  Either way, the effect is one of dissolution and regrouping of energy and matter.  The white empty space or opening just right of the center of the vortex creates a relief from the relentless tension of the marks.  The slight flux in value and blue and gold color also suggests an overlapping of small bits, that could have been broken off a more opaque and complete entity. Formal and psychologically, this visual disruption in texture lifts the viewer up through the space and promises to link us to what is currently beyond our reach.
