It’s interesting that this piece is one of your most economic watercolor paintings both in simplicity of design and subtle color variances, yet it gives off a very strong visual presence.  I am enamored with the sensation of a white (solar) glow coming from the otherwise pale orange sky.  The quiet reflection in the still, smooth water shimmers with opalescence. I find there is an elegance to the single linear brushstroke describing the poles sinking into the pinkish sea.  The first piece you have posted by the same title appears to be of the same nautical subject, but the zoomed in perspective gives more emphasis to the structures of the boats themselves, rather than their natural drift on the open water.  This second painting is particularly satisfying.  I do hope you continue to post new work on the site.
