This elegant photograph came across my page today, and I was drawn in by its understated warm color palette.  While the piece highlights the dramatic flight of an egret, the bird appears to be hovering just above the grassy wetland.  Capturing her position along the horizon, with her legs extending downward further connects the bird to the linear bands throughout the marsh landscape. The asymmetrical compositional placement perfectly positions the focal point at a natural dip between the lines of grass.  The seemingly untitled piece doesn’t reveal if it was digitally color manipulated- the pinkish hue of the sky softens the overall image, and contributes to the still mood of the piece.  I see this work was posted several years ago.  I’ve enjoyed viewing your portfolio on the site, and would welcome the opportunity to see new work.
