I’ve marveled at the tenuous balance you’ve been able to maintain in your mixed media works between order and chaos.  The organizational structure of the geometric linear structures embedded within layers of paint nicely offset the rough application of pigment on the final surface of this piece titled Hommage # 2.  The square format also interjects some tension of visual weight.  The small whitish shapes look to have been partially or randomly created through a scumbled drag of a palette knife; requiring the viewer to slow down and appreciate the meandering paths of similar shapes as opposed to the sweeping brushstrokes or thin and controlled drawing. I see this as a particularly dexterous play between high/low art, fluid abstraction and acrylic, collage, and casual marker.
