Thank you Kristen, for the wonderful feedback. Interestingly, I realized after the fact, that this full moon, "Super Moon" Aug 2104, occurred on the night of Robin Williams death. It really makes one think about the correlation between the Lunar cycles and our emotional state.

Very interesting plein air piece; not what one would typically imagine from the genre with it's brooding dark hues and strong gestural strokes.  The turbulence of the sky nicely echoes the active water below, creating two almost violent swimming pools.  I also appreciate what appears to be intentional asymmetrical balance of the moon and larger house structure below. They create a rhythmic wave of vertical and horizontal movement.  The small fence additionally seems barely able to hold back the dynamic water, as it rises up to meet the encroaching clouds.
