Curator’s Comments: 

I can’t stop looking at this piece! Psychedelic-Waterfall is truly hypnotic in its use of saturated, high chroma colors.  The figure-ground relationship also confounds the viewer, with little to no area of visual rest in the composition. The small circular (or spherical) beads in the background look three- dimensional.  It’s difficult to make out if they are applied objects, or if the value pattern is a trompe l’oeil of sorts. The metallic grey border serves as a containment for the loud inner linear frame of intense yellow.  But I’m most attracted to yellow edge around the center biomorphic shape, with its rainbow-hued swirls. While these vibrant colors are evident throughout your portfolio, this piece is especially compact and dense in its use of saturation and allover texture.
